Tales of Symphonia heroes

Post by bushido11 »

Hey everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted here and I'm glad to see that you guys are still around.

As I was playing Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube (one of my favorite games), I was thinking of how fleshed out the heroes are and I just knew that I had to make them OVA characters. If you haven't played Tales of Symphonia, you don't know what you're missing. Either way, here they are (spoiler warnings, just so you know); next to each name is a link to see their picture.

Lloyd Irving (http://www.rpgamer.com/games/tales/tos/art/tos027.jpg)

Lloyd is the courageous young man who is the main protagonist of the story. Found abandoned in the woods as an infant, Lloyd was raised by his dwarven stepfather, Dirk. He travels through Iselia Forest every day to attend the school in Iselia Village. Though his heart is extremely large and there are few places he fears to tread, Lloyd is not academically gifted. Sometimes his lack of common sense confuses and bewilders his best friend, Genis. Lloyd’s fondness for Collette drives him to accompany the Chose on her perilous journey to regenerate Sylvarant and replenish the world with mana, the essence of life and magic. Little does Lloyd realize that this journey is deeply tied to his unknown past, and that the truth behind his birth lies ahead.

Basic Statistics
Concept: Hot-Headed Courageous Swordsman
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Association: None
Height: 5’8â€

Wow, pretty cool! I always love seeing stats for my favorite characters. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a spoilerphobe and haven't made it through Tales of Symphonia quite yet...but from what I glanced at it looks like neat stuff! I went ahead and read Lloyd, and it seems to fit him to a T.

Dwarven Vow #174....keep making stuff like this!

Great Job!
I've loved ToS (and the whole "Tales of" saga as well), it's one of the few games that really moved my feelings and i consider it the best jrpg even made.
Anyway the stats looks pretty accurate, although i want to see Kratos' Judegement too! XD

Dude, you rock! I always thought that was an awesome game but I think that since it was on the game cube it was underrated.
Watch this and all will become clear...http://tinyurl.com/m7qr3rq

Have anybody played Tales of the Abyss yet?
I'm playing it right now, it's pretty well done although i hate the main character (he's really useless...).
Yay, for Necromancer Jade! XD

These're really handy examples of how to stat for my group, who've seen these characters dance around on screen beforehand. My little bros. go thru these games at maybe 50x the pace I do, so I got to see the whole story as 2 player.

Only prob is that Regal has Presea's hair and eyes! Hm, I believe it was also released for the PS2.

Yup there's a PS2 version but it's only avaiable in JAP, plus NAMCO USA doesn't seems to plan a future translation although it's really strange, usually NAMCO USA doesn't import only 2D based games (i.e: all the other Tales of).
By the way the PS2 version is far less detailed than the GC, i hate the fact that the cube was not really well supported both in US and Europe.
Maybe if the WII could read GC games the problem could be overcome, i've saw it and it looks like one of the best console ever made. XD
LOL, i too am waiting for TOS OVA release, but i hope for a TotA OVA too XD
