Re: 4 Color comic book super heroes!
A while ago I was toying with an idea for a different way of handling scale for supers. Let's take strength for example, but you could do something similar with other attributes. 0 strength can roll to accomplish things normal people can reasonable do, 1 strength can roll to accomplish things you'd ...

Re: My Dungeons and Dragons Conversion
Looking back at previous entries, I'm kind of surprised that there's a lack of a certain skill... Dual-Wield Short/Arming Sword Outnumbered Defensive (+5); Effective (+5); Multiple Targets (+10). Elaborate Gestures (-5); Unique, Minimum of Agile +2 (-10); Weapon (-5) Dueling Defensive (+5); Effecti...

Re: Official Player made content?
Well open content license almost killed D&D. Maybe this is not such a good idea. While not open content some games have done very well with being permissive of third party content. Savage Worlds springs to mind. And on a smaller scale things like Icons and Supers! (games that actually have a lo...

Re: Character Requests
How about Naruto? I think he's a pretty challenging character to model even relatively early in the series, so I often try to test a new game's character creation with making a version. Between the basics like replacement technique, the clones, kyuubi transformation, minor regeneration, shape changi...

Re: Actual Plays
There are few YouTubers doing pretty good actual plays. itmeJP has ton of them among all the other stuff he does on his channel, that are recorded from live sessions he broadcasts on his Twitch channel. TheDiceStormers are a group I also really enjoy. GrimithR does a lot of them, I'm currently liste...

Re: Actual Plays
Yeah, that was the only thing I could find before I posted this topic. The audio was bad enough that I gave up on it pretty quickly.
Maybe you should consider running a couple skype games or something to record and post online, or bribing a group that does actual plays with a few free copies.

Re: Gear and Attack
Gear has its place. It has a couple unique advantages. First, it can be shared. Second, any weaknesses associated with the gear can be set aside easily if they become inconvenient. These are both minor advantages, but they are advantages, certainly enough to offset being occasionally disarmed, needi...

Re: OVA Aquisition?
I would like to purchase a copy of the pdf when it is available on Drivethrurpg. I didn't back the kickstarter, but the last couple weeks I keep finding myself peeking at the comments over here hoping to see that it's finally finished. It seems so close. How long is the delay going to be between the...

Re: Kickstarter!
I keep periodically checking by to see if anything is happening with the 2nd edition, but I'm sensing Clay has gone back into recluse mode. I'll once again float the idea that selling a beta pdf so you can get a little upfront revenue and some feedback on the mechanics, and that is able to be upgrad...

Re: Clarification of some rules....
Hobby abilities do not stack with attack abilities because Hobbies lack the proper context. For example: -If you take Fencing as a Hobby, you know about the sport of fencing, the equipment used, and possibly some of the history as well. When going against a fencer, you could be able to identify his...

Re: Less than a month away...
It would be nice to know that everything is on track. I've recommended people to OVA a few times recently, partially based on the fact that the new edition is supposed to be available soon and all the changes from the blog sound solid, but I'm starting to feel wary about doing that because of the la...

Re: Using Tension to power special attacks, a rules idea I f
I tried to do something sort of like this, though I skipped right to favoring the losing side more since I didn't like the idea of overly rewarding momentum (which is its own reward). http://wiseturtle.razornetwork.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2019 Other than a couple of trial combats I never got aro...
