Look at this, you've died and found yourself thrown into a new world, again. Its a good thing that you know all about this world because of the convenient fact that back home, this world was just a work of fiction.

Meta-Knowledge
Example: Meta-Knowledge (Daedric Princes)

You know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little. At level one, you know common information about the subject's past, present and future. At level two, you know un-common information about the subject's past, present and future. At level three, you know personal information about the subject's past, present and future, as if you knew the person on a personal level. At level four, you know intimate information about the subject's past, present and future, as if you knew the person on an intimate level, the types of things that you'd only tell your best of friends. At level five, you know secret information about the subject's past, present and future, the type of information that you'd never tell anyone.

I want some way of rolling against a DC to remember details that you normally wouldn't be able to. If you succeed, you remember what you need to, and if you fail, you must have forgotten everything about that subject until you're reminded.

how about this:
DN:2 common knowledge (if you know anything about this person you should know this)
DN:4 acquaintance knowledge (if you've spoke with this person on a few occasions you should know this)
DN:6 Friend level knowledge (only a friend of this person would know this)
DN:8 Intimate knowledge (you know things about this person only told to a few extremely close friends)
DN:10 hidden knowledge (you know things about this person only they know)
DN:12 omniscient knowledge (you know things about this person that they could never possibly know)

This seems good.
