If anyone has any custom settings please share them! I would love to hear about them!
If you turned it into your own I think it would be cool to see how you changed it.Sabersonic wrote:Ah, I see. I'll make the assumption that it doesn't include settings forged from a specific series or franchise.
No worries I have already seen your postGrayKnight wrote:check out my custom setting, its under the topic new OVA game. posted it a few days ago, but if you are feeling too lazy to go look at it I can post it here.
Sounds cool. Reminds me a little of Avatar the last airbender, You should check it out maybe it will help you out in someway.Zealot Vedas wrote:Going to run a game for some friends in a week or two, in a basic "Supernatural Martial Arts" setting. Not overly original, aside from maybe the Tribe/Clan structure of Martial Artist society.
Tribes form the largest groups of Martial Artists, such as the mighty Dragon Clan.
Each tribe has multiple Clans within it, such as the Jade Dragons (who are also the Imperial family), Pearl Dragons, Storm Dragons and the like.
Each Tribe has a Martial Art common to all its Clans, although each Clan has variant techniques and tactics, and have sufficiently diverged from the "core style" that knowing how a Pearl Dragon fights is no guarantee that you'll know what to expect from a Storm Dragon.
There are also spirits and monsters, but I haven't fully fleshed out their nature yet.
Well I'm currently running a campaign that is effectively a gestalt of numerous Sunrise productions but is centered around the Gundam franchise. Basically its my retelling of the One Year War under the new name "Great Earth Sphere War" between the United Earth Sphere Federation of Nations against the Settlement Freedom League comprised of Zeon, the PLANTs/ZAFT, and the Space Revolutionary Army of the Free Republic of Noah.Blobathehutt wrote:If you turned it into your own I think it would be cool to see how you changed it.Sabersonic wrote:Ah, I see. The planet Earth, meanwhile, is recovering from a centuries-old asteroid impact that caused not only widespread geophysical devastation but also jumpstarted the next ice age with battles waged upon tundra and arid wastelands ala Mad Max. However the previous superpowers of the era, the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations, Human Reform League, and Advanced European Union, survive as remnant powers in their Bernal Sphere orbital settlements but largely control nearly all access into space and more or less play a zero sum game against each other with these Great Earth Sphere War belligerent parties as pawns due to their collective control of space access and nitrate supplies. All the while the secret society Celestial Being lay low in the shadows to await their chance to change the world, but there is another party that wishes to prologue the war for unknown and unfathomable reasons.
That and pretty much all the Gundams are effectively giant cyborgs. That should about cover it for now.
Heh, I own the full series already, as well as Legend of Korra, but thanks! I'm picturing relatively few outright elemental styles, though they do exist, and more Wuxia-style secret techniques and the like.Blobathehutt wrote: Sounds cool. You should probably take a look at Gundam X then, or at least the first half of the series.Blobathehutt wrote:Cool ideas here! I have kind pf been thinking about my own kind of post apoc Mecha game but I have not really put a work into it yet.
What about M.D. Geist?Sabersonic wrote:If only because I cannot think of a better example of post-apocalyptic mecha setting.
