OVA's GM, do you hack the system?

Hello,
I have been GMing for one year now and through my campaign and the games I added elements (well one for the moment) of differents RPG.

For now, I just added the initiative system of Savage World. And I plan to add the aspect system of FATE and the wound system of Tenra Bansho Zero (plus the Wound system of FATE throw in the mix).

It's rudimentary, I know but it is a beginning.

So how do you homebrew the system.

I don't. OVA works to me as is; any unnecessary modification to the system is only unnecessary baggage.

I have to comply that Aspect can be redondant with certains abilities and/or weakness.
I have not realized this before I tried to Write my NC characters.

I think OVA is totally hackable. Heck, if you pay attention to the red-bordered sidebars, you’ll see the game even gives a few suggested hacks right in the text itself.

Of course, I did my best to make a game that works as broadly and without fuss with as many concepts as possible—but I wouldn’t let that dissuade you from changing OVA to work exactly how you want it to.

While not really a hack, OVA did do a cross over supplement with Golden Sky Stories. I never tried it, but it might be worth looking into.
