And here's another obscure weapon, this times credit goes to Shadiversity.
War Dart/Fletched Javelin
Image
Accurate (5); Armor Piercing (5); Effective (10); Ranged, Strength Powered (5). Activation (-10); Ammunition (-5); Elaborate Gestures (-5); Weapon (-5)
A natural evolution of the ancient javelin, the War Dart is largely used as one-handed ranged weaponry for lightly armored foot soldiers bearing shields in naval combat and sieges for the most part. Though they do not have the range of a bow or arrow, or even armor penetration depending upon the style of arrowhead in question, the War Dart instead has the advantage of increased damage potential against similarly lightly armored opponents, the lack of a need for secondary equipment to use them effectively, and as an emergency melee weapon for when aforementioned opponents come into too close of ranged for adequate use of the War Dart.
And I just had the image of Orcs with these War Darts/Fletched Javelins, those buggers might actually make them a rival in terms of range and armor penetration to the standard War Bow.

Well, anything not an Orcish War Bow anyway....

I know everyone wants to keep it to fantasy items only here. But it's my thread and I say balderdash to that!

Image

Poké Ball
Ranged (0), Unique Perk: Capture! (+40), Cancel: Humans and Owned Pokémon (-20),No Damage (-20)

The poké ball can capture Pokémon as well as store a single item per ball. They do not work on humans or pokémon that have been captured by another poke ball. Now if the poké ball works on ghosts, slime monsters, elves, demons, or any other non human creatures is up to your Game Master.

We all know it is easier to capture something when it is weakened and OVA already reflects that so I didn't do more with that. The poké ball itself does no damage, but if the target is captured, then they are effectively out of the fight. The target can try to roll to break free of the capture as if it were resisting paralysis. If some one attacks the ball it can interrupt the capture like interrupting the paralysis perk. The mechanics behind this is the same as a paralysis perk taken twice that paralysis on contact, except if you fail your escape roll you are trapped in a poké ball until some one lets you out.

Well then if that's the case, then I present to the forum this inquiry when it comes to large weapons and tight spaces.

Examples include using a longsword or a battle axe against a knife in the close confines of a dungeon or even the awkwardness of moving with a battle rifle through CQB of a building as opposed to either a bullpup rifle or an SMG. To put it bluntly, should there be a detriment to trying to use such a long weapon in such small spaces enough to warrant a flaw and an opposed perk to modify the combat dice check or just keep it as flavor text and GM fiat as needed?

I reason GM Fiat dice check and flavor text as needed. This is an ANIME game. In Anime you got guys using battle axes and great swords in tight stone hallways. They kind of ignore real world logic for rule of cool at times. Besides, Long weapons assume you are out in the open place when using them. It should be a situational penalty with no opposing benefit if you get pulled into tight spaces.

So basically keep it flavor text and defer to GM fiat as needed. I figured it was something like that, but that brain worm needed a second opinion to exorcise.

While it's true that I think "not enough room" is not a concern for most anime-styled stories (and why I don't cover it at all in OVA), that's not to say it can't be. A -5 Flaw seems fine if we're talking adventures that delve into constrained dungeon passages enough for it to be a recurring issue.

If on the other hand most of the story is about traveling and exploring above-ground, then granting no points and leaving it to GM fiat is a much better choice.
