What is your favorite ability/weakness?
I was just wondering what everyone's favorite ability/weakness was, And why they liked them.

Is it cheating if I go with My Monstrous Abilities as favorites?

As far as abilities go, I like the Magics (Arcane and Witchcraft) the most mechanically, but from a storytelling perspective, Connected, Position of Power, and Famous are pretty good.
As for weaknesses, my absolute favorite has to be Rival, hands down.

Does driving a tank count as a martial art? Does being a tank count as a martial art?

Rival has done good in a lot of my games! It even ended up making one of my players all time favorite npcs!Zealot Vedas wrote:As far as abilities go, I like the Magics (Arcane and Witchcraft) the most mechanically, but from a storytelling perspective, Connected, Position of Power, and Famous are pretty good.

Actually, Transformation is probably My favorite Ability. My favorite anime of all time is Tekkaman Blade, and I've also liked similar heroes like Guyver or the Hulk. The last couple of years I've been obsessed with Kamen Rider, one of the original transforming heroes. Most characters I build with OVA tend to use Transformation.Blobathehutt wrote:Kind of lol But go with itMalancthon wrote:Is it cheating if I go with My Monstrous Abilities as favorites?
I'm sure someone like Freud would have a field day with that.
Re: What is your favorite ability/weakness?
For Weaknesses, I've always had a soft-spot for Naive and Kind-Hearted just because I really like the examples I wrote for them.
Ability is tough, but I'd have to settle with Attack. I'm just immensely happy with how it turned out and how flexible it is for handling the sort of cinematic fisticuffs I've always wanted RPGs to handle.

Vehicle/Mecha for Ability, Rivals for Weakness. 'Nuff said.

You can go pretty much wild designing attack suites for various characters in this game.Clay wrote:Ability is tough, but I'd have to settle with Attack. Quick. I always tend to play those upbeat energetic types like Ruby from RWBY. As for flaws I must say Dullard. Though non of my PCs have it, I always give the random guard or companion that flaw and explain he just isn't interesting enough to be a Main Character.

I like Attack best, pretty much for the same reason as Clay.
My favourite Weakness? Easily Distracted, with the Caveat that you have to choose what you're easily distracted by (For example, Aurunox/Arisawa Hayato's is Girls.) I noticed that some example Characters in the book has that listed, but nothing as to what.
