Yeah, it's been a while since the last update. So lets get the ball rolling with this installment's representative of the Dead Space franchise; the Guardian.
Guardian
Image
One of the more unique Necromorphs encountered in a typical outbreak, they gain their name due to the fact that they are largely immobile slaughter platforms enfused to the wall via the Corruption that protect any strategic area from intervention from otherwise helpless victims. It attacks prey via two forms: deployment of stationary “turrets” called pods which launch barbed projectiles at victims to overwhelm them with sheer volume of fire, and a scythed tentacle composed of the victim’s intestines and entrails.

Next up for the Resistance camp is the Ravager.
Ravager
Image
A larger and more muscular of the Chimera Strains, the Ravager serve as the heavy weapons support unit of the Chimeran Army. Their massive size, towering over the average human soldier by several feet, gives them an impressive intimidation factor succeeded only by their strength and their physical endurance. In fact, they are the strongest of the standard infantry units available to the Chimeran Army, even stronger than Steelheads.

Atomizer
Image
A unique anti-riot, heavy directed energy weapon system of the Chimeran Army, the Atomizer can be considered a derivative relative of the Arc Charger. Though the Electric Arc does not become stronger with each successive target, it compensates for the ability to draw itself to the closest conductive bio-organic mass for the initial focus target before the circuit is closed by the nearest foe and the Electric Arc behaves as normal with a large damage yield to said group. Additionally, the Atomizer is also able to deploy a temporary gravitational singularity to draw in hostile targets and other unfortunate objects into itself before the singularity itself decays and erupts in a powerful explosion.

DX[END] - Attack
  • 3[5] - “Electric Arc” (Affinity, Energy; Accurate, Bio-Electric Fields; Area Effect x2; Impairing; Ranged. Elaborate Gestures, Both Hands on Weapon; Ineffective x2; Offensive x2; Weapon)

Brute Minigun
Image
The standard heavy support weapon of the Chimeran Army, the Brute Minigun is utilized by Ravagers in a similar role to machinegunners. Its rotary barrels project hypervelocity bolts of plasma down range at such a high rate that, to the unaided human eye, it would appear as a stream or beam. The weapon also features a targeting screen upon the grip to further increase the lethal effectiveness of the Brute Minigun. However the size and mass of the weapon, over a meter in length, it cannot be wielded by any human being.

DX[END] - Attack
  • 4[5] - “Rotary Plasma Castor” (Affinity, Energy; Accurate, Targeting Screen; Impairing; Overwhelming; Ranged. Ammunition; Elaborate Gestures, Both Hands on Weapon; Ineffective; Offensive; Weapon)
-----------------
Heavy Weapon Energy Cell

A spare reload for heavy weapons such as the Atomizer, it can be used to fully replenish an otherwise spent heavy weapon. As such, it can only be used once.

Level - Ability
  • +3 - Endurance Reserve “Heavy Weapon Energy Cell”
Level - Weakness
  • -1 - Unique “Only Heavy Weapon Attacks”

And lastly, to round up this installment, is the Trite of the Doom franchise.
Trite
Image
A small, daemonic arachnid-like creature whose general appearance is that of an upside down human-like head with arachnid limbs that sprout from the base of such a body. Though weak individually, the Trite attack in swarms to overwhelm a victim through bites or an explosion of yellowish-green gore for a kill.

Guess there's no opinion on what I published so far.

Either way, let's start this installment with the more annoying of the small, the Swarmer of the Dead Space franchise.
Swarmer
Image
Barely more than reanimated necrotic flesh, the Swarmer Necromorphs are rarely a threat on their own. However, the Swarmer are rarely alone hence their name as they attack in a horde and are able to leap great distances to latch onto prey and slaughter them with mere numbers alone since their individual attacks are not at all lethal on their own. If they do not roam the outbreak environment, the Swarmers typically make their home within Pregnant Necromorphs which gives the unwary a lethal surprise if the stomach of said Necromorph is ever ruptured.

Next up, for the Resistance franchise, is the Titan.
Titan
Image
A massive Chimera strain, the Titan serves as shock troops for the Chimeran Army, often as the spearhead to any major assaults. Due to their size and strength, the Titan is able to field weapons normally reserved for armored vehicles such as the Stalker Siege Pod. It is commonly believed that the Titan is the limit to which the Chimeran Army can alter the human form, in that it requires multiple infected humans to produce.

And finally, for the Doom franchise, we have the Cherub to round out this installment.
Cherub
Image
One of the more common daemons of hell that have taken corporeal form, the Cherub is a macabre corruption of an infant with an avian arthropod. Their strange appearance have caused unpleasant and emotional responses from those it deemed prey as they are attacked by its citreous talons from far above. Though weak individually, the Trite attack in groups to overwhelm a victim through talon strikes for a kill.

Well, I can see that there are no further objections or suggestions for my previous builds, so let's start with this installment with a representative of the Dead Space franchise, the Swarm.

Yeah, I know, not very distinct but that's more of an EA and Visceral Games issue. Not my fault.
Swarm
Image
One of the more commonly encountered Necromorph during a typical outbreak and more often than not the direct cause of one, they are called such due to their swarming tactics when they attempt to infect both corpses and living beings when none are available. As they rarely travel alone, Swarms are able to convert corpses into Necromorphs rapidly to ensure a fast spread of the infection and resulting outbreak to overwhelm living prey. Additionally, their small size and their ability to fit through small cracks make them difficult to contain.

Next up, for the Resistance Franchise, is the Brawler.
Brawler
Image
A massive Chimera strain, the Brawler serves as anti-infantry/armor units of the Chimeran Army. The brawler is unique amongst the Chimera strains in that much of its offensive weapon capabilities are fire-based; weapons that Chimera are vulnerable due to their hyper-metabolism. As such, it requires a far larger Heat Stack and other such cooling devices upon its chest and wrists. Once these are damaged, the Brawler will painfully rip these off and enter a frenzied “berserker” state that will ultimately cook the creature from the inside out due to unchecked bodily waste heat.

And to round up this installment, we have the Guardian of Hell.
Guardian of Hell
Image
One of the rare breeds of daemons to take corporeal form, the Guadians of Hell or simply Guardians are massive creatures that can be considered the armored assault unit of Hell’s Armies. As its name implies, the Guardians are deployed to protect an item of strategic importance that could halt Hell’s conquests and are built to be the ultimate defense. It’s morning-star shaped tail end and fists make it deadly in close quarters combat in addition to its horns, however its eyesight has been diminished due to the eons and thus require small “Seekers” to help locate threats for it to eliminate. When these Seekers are killed off, the Guardian is forced to regenerate Seekers and is extremely vulnerable at this period of time but for only a brief moment.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I got the Attribute Levels for both Health Reserve and Extra Actions correct for the Guardian build. Does anyone have an answer to this little inquiry of mine?

Either way, that'll be it for this installment. So then, any suggestions to this batch of entries or are they fine as they are presented?

Oh! I almost forgot, for those who are wondering about the details of the Broadcast Aid attribute, allow me to redirect you to the Minerva build that features said ability.

When these Seekers are killed off, the Guardian is forced to regenerate Seekers and is extremely vulnerable at this period of time but for only a brief moment.

Never played the game but I think it looks good as a boss enemy. Maybe a bit more base HP would be nice, But as I said never played the game.

I'm actually saving that little HP boost for another boss-like NPC, but you don't need to play the game personally. There are Let's Play videos to view.

Granted, said boss-like NPC's pretty much killed off after five strikes from an anti-plot armor weapon so I'm not sure if its appropriate to give it a higher base HP or not now that I think about it.....

Anyone have a verdict on this one?

I guess there's no verdict when it comes to specific weapon vulnerability and such for a boss-like NPC. Oh well, on with the show then.

First up, for the Dead Space franchise is the Lurker.
Lurker
ImageImage
These necromorphs are formed from either infant-like organ banks, developed embryos within pregnant women, or canines. Instead of limbs, the Lurker crawls around via a mass of tentacle-like muscles that erupts from the thoracic cavity and lower abdomen as well as a support structure. These limbs are so strong that they allow the necromorph to crawl along walls and ceilings without any loss in its momentum. Upon its back are three muscle-like barbed tentacles that can strike at melee range as well as launch these barbs at a distance with deadly accuracy to which makes them a serious threat. The Lurker also comes in an enhanced form that are more resilient to damage due to being formed from more necrotic i.e. decayed corpses in addition to more lethal ranged attacks.

I'm not sure which is creepier: The baby version or the dog?

Next we have the initial infector units of the Resistance franchise, the Crawler.
Crawler
Image
The Chimera Strain most responsible for the initial reproduction method of the Chimeran Army, the Crawler serve as vectors of the Chimeran Virus against hostile populations, both military and civilian. Small and beetle-like, the Crawler is deployed via Spire Missiles to their targets to which they collectively swarm over the area and locate suitable hosts for the Chimeran Virus. They are even capable of limited flight in order to find and infect suitable hosts with the virus.

It first penetrates and enters the body of the host, typically the airways of the nose and mouth, but it has been observed that Crawlers are able to enter combat wounds in this fashion. Once within, the Crawler injects the virus into the body and then the process of infection begins. The Crawler then dies and decomposes within the body while said host becomes a Chimera, either slowly or through a conversion center. However, if a Crawler fails to locate a suitable host, it then begins to feast upon the corpses of those slain upon the battlefield whether they are human, animal, or Chimera before they enter a pupae stage and eventually emerge as a Leaper.

I kinda figured that I don't need to add the Transformation Ability into its Lurker state since that's more of a storytelling and plot device more than an actual feature.
