OVA artwork

Post by hobbit_marco »

I like the artwork you can see on the site. It'll be great if the entire book will have that kind of artwork.

But I spotted an "error".
In the picture http://www.wiseturtle.com/wall-raineshou1024.jpg
, the girl has the upper-kimono part wrong. In Japan you always dress by putting the left flap over the right flap. This is only different when someone is lying in a coffin ^^.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say. You don't have to change it or anything, it's not big deal. I thought I'd jut mention it.

I appreciate the info! I didn't know that.

However, it's not a kimono OR a girl. It's Raine, the very.....feminine samurai. His outfit is not very clear here. Even so, I think it defies some Japanese tradition because it heretically modifies the attire. But thanks anyway!

As for the art, I assure you there's tons of great pieces in the book. Like this one: http://www.nikogeyer.com/gallery/ova_requiem.jpg

Probably just a slip of the tongue, but I noticed you talked about OVA in the future tense... In case you didn't realize, it is out and can be purchased at http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=4280

If I misread that, I apologize. ^_^;

Raine isn't a girl? lol.

I know you can buy the pdf. But I would rather have it as a real book. So I am waiting untill you can actually buy it at a bookstore ^^.

Speaking therof, what's the latest update on a print version? Or the mecha and fantasy expansions?

(Being a massive gearhead, I'm dying to see the Mecha book.)
Three Rules of Anime:

1) Never pick a fight with an old man.

2) If it's cute, kill it now and save yourself a lot of time and effort.

3) Learn a musical instrument; after that, you can do anything.

Sorry for the 'me too' post but... me too. I'm very keen to see the mecha book.

a mecha game with easy mechanics? You may possibly have the best system in the world if it can be pulled off.

Time will tell! Though you should go ahead and post in viewtopic.php?t=88 and you just might see a sneak peek at the rules early.
