And lastly, from the Shantae franchise, we have the Mermaids.

I know, I know. I already made a similar character template and I lifted a few Weaknesses from it, but different universes (i.e. IP franchises) and all...
Mermaid
Image
A species of Ichthian Humanoids, Mermaids are uniquely amphibious to a certain extent in that they are able to travel and breathe onto land though extremely limited compared to equivalent land-dwelling fauna. Not only is each mermaid durable enough for combat on land, but that each one is armed with a trident that can only be used not only for melee purposes but to also cast a wave of powerful bubbles at range to deal with foes.

I think of all the character writeups I expected to see with OVA, Shantae baddies weren't among them.

...not that I'm complaining! Keep up the good (cute) work!

Well I own the PSVita version of the game so I might as well do some conversions on them.

Also, while we're on the subject, no issue in how their health and/or endurance is calculated?

I'll take it that Clay has no issues with how I calculate the Health and Endurance of some of the characters.

Either way, let's move on with the installment. Starting with, from the Jak and Daxter franchise, the Swamp Rat.
Swamp Rat
Image
Alternatively known as the Rat Lurker, the Rodentian-esque Lurker that make the forested wetlands their habitat and their namesake. Typically nest in tree-like structures, the Swamp Rat individually are pathetically weak, but it is in their large swarms that they pose a large threat to the unwary.

Next up, from the Destiny franchise, we have the Shrieker to round out the Hive.
Hive Shrieker
Image
One of two species that directly serve the entity known only as the Darkness, the eusocial Hive are “impossibly ancient” who are able to trace their origins within the oceans of the gas giant Fundament where a pact between their forbearers and the Worm Gods was forged. Their ultimate goal is to serve their pantheon by consuming light and wage holy war against all those whom follow the path of Light and that of the Traveler. Each member of the hive begin their lifecycle as pupae birthed from cocoons, from which they ingest a Worm larvae whole and become symbiosis with the Worm within. The Light in which both the Worm and the Hive feed is both a source of sustenance and suffering; a fact that is in line with their religious philosophy best described as Darwinist extremism known as Sword-Logic. As a result, each member of the Hive even fully grown are pale, sinewy, and vaguely humanoid with varying levels of muscles and ancient armor fused to their flesh.

A non-biological construct, the entity known only as the Shrieker are utilized by the Hive as a form of immobile sentry to protect key junctions and entryways of Hive Labyrinths to guard against intruders. It is unknown for certain whether the Shrieker are but the remote eyes of the most powerful Wizards and Knights to keep vigilant their domain or are but simple automatons of arcane construction to serve as weapons to protect vital Hive rituals. Whatever the case, they are but animated by the arcane Hive as a whole despite their appearance as dead mass. They are noted in that, in their final death throes, the Void Core shatters and strikes at its killer as its last act of defiance and vengeance.

Well, it's been more than a month and so far there are no critiques about my previous entry. So lets move on to the next, shall we?

First off, from the Jak and Daxter franchise, we have the Kermit Lurker.
Kermit
Image
An anuran-esque Lurker, the Kermit are an amphibious creature that thrive in warm, humid environments such as the Boggy Swamp and are mostly found near bodies of fresh water such as rivers. Though a slow fauna, the Kermit is none the less a worthy adversary as its nearly inescapable tongue entraps most prey and its ability to generate electricity slowly whittles down its victims until they’re too weak to resist being swallowed.

Next up, from the Destiny franchise we move onto the Vex with the goblin.
Vex Goblin
Image
One of two species that directly serve the entity known only as the Darkness, the hive-minded and transdimensional Vex whom have a singular goal: to transform themselves and their massive trans-dimensional, trans-corporeal supercomputer-like network known as the Nexus into the very fabric of the universe and basically become an immutable law of the natural world and rule all of existence by default. In particular, the Vex have a particular if not vested interest in paracasual entities and co-opting such forces whenever possible to further their agenda.

Though outwardly the Vex appear as combat automatons constructed of an alloy with the appearance of hammered brass, in truth the Vex are a wholly biological species that take the form of aquatic microorganism known as radiolarian that float within a “mind-fluid” that make up the core processor and reciver of each individual component of the Vex in the form of a Mind Core located within the central mass of the war machines. It is strongly believed that the Vex radiolarian cells are neither born nor made, but rather converted from ordinary matter and biomass, in addition to the fact that these Vex cells cause entheogen effects that can damage the brain if ingested.

The component automaton known as the Goblin serve as the light infantry unit of any Vex Programming Collective, to attack threats in swarms and act as the bulwark for more advanced and combat capable automatons. Like all Vex component automatons, the Goblin has the ability to teleport from far off locations in order to overwhelm and flank potential threats. Combined with the hyper-intelligent hive mind of the Vex, this makes the Goblin a foe not to be underestimated for one that is central to what amounts to swarm tactics.

A friend asked what a sort of female counterpart to Devil Gigatron would be like, so I came up with this.

deMechanika (+20/-15)

From an abyssal depth made of metal and wires, deMechanika rules as queen of robotic succubi. Her cybernetic engine is fueled by the souls of the living. Advanced fiendish technology not only allows her to repair her frame by converting the blood of mortals, but also gives her abilities indistinguishable from magic. deMechanika is often found travelling across dimensions, appearing in different forms, finding numerous suitors and often leaving them drained behind her.

Yeah, it's been a spell since my last visit. And I see that Mal did his interpretation of the Kryptonian in as far as the MoS continuity. Though wouldn't there be more focus weaknesses since in that film series (along with the original lore) it was also noted that the type of atmospheric composition along with earth's gravity being what gave Kryptonians their enhanced and near god-like abilities?

Not to mention that comic notation that Kryptonians, or at least Superman, were equally vulnerable to magic as explained in two controversial Death Battle videos?

Anywho, let's start this installment with something from the Jak and Daxter franchise; the Swamp Bat.

A Chiropteran-esque Lurker, the Swamp Bat is an airborn creature that have a notable preference for warm, humid environments such as the Boggy Swamp despite their lack of proper camouflage . Vex Hobgoblin

The component automaton known as the Hobgoblin are utilized in infantry support in the form of tactical sharpshooting for any Vex Programming Collective to take out key figures of the opposition while out on the battlefield. As such, the Hobgoblin is not well suited in a direct confrontation and will instead lie in more defendable positions while more able Vex component automatons provide the brunt force to protect it. If an when it is confronted in close quarter battle, the Hobgoblin is able to encase themselves in a nigh-impenetrable field known as a Burning Shield in order to heal itself. Like all Vex component automatons, the Hobgoblin has the ability to teleport from far off locations in order to overwhelm and flank potential threats. Combined with the hyper-intelligent hive mind of the Vex, this makes the Hobgoblin a foe not to be underestimated for one that increases the chances of a successful swarm tactic by removing threats that would have otherwise make such attrition warfare moot for the Vex as a whole.

Either way, that'll be it for this installment. So until next time, do these conversions hold their mustard or are there any suggestions or corrections when it comes to OVA2e gameplay compatibility?

Though wouldn't there be more focus weaknesses since in that film series (along with the original lore) it was also noted that the type of atmospheric composition along with earth's gravity being what gave Kryptonians their enhanced and near god-like abilities?

Not to mention that comic notation that Kryptonians, or at least Superman, were equally vulnerable to magic as explained in two controversial Death Battle videos?
Apparently I got cut off earlier. I meant to say I was trying to go between the movies and the late 90s animated series of "power". While originally Superman was only stronger/tougher/faster because Earth was less dense than Krypton, usually it's the yellow sun part that's important for his powers. So I decided to keep it simple and only use the one Weakness.

And Superman/Kryptonians are not vulnerable to magic or supernatural stuff, they are just not invulnerable to it.
