And rounding out this week is the Gigantes.
Gigantes (5 Points)
Image
The Gigantes is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely considered a subspecies of the Ogre, the Gigantes are the most massive of the Ogre subspecies. Due to their size and accompanying great strength, they typically spend their time standing or sitting still to avoid unwarranted damage or injury. Also it is due to this massive build that they are unable to wear any other form of attire other than whatever rags that could be found in order to keep some semblance of public decency and order.

It's been another week, another episode has aired, so it's time for us to visit another subspecies.

This time it's the Dragonewt. Though I should note that it has been edited to reflect a few corrections.

First up is the Ryu-Jin. And no, I'm not talking about that combiner form from GaoGaiGar
Ryu-Jin (1 Point)
Image
The Ryu-Jin is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Often mistaken for Lizardmen, the Ryu-Jin are actually a subspecies of the Dragonewt. This is made more apparent when the Ryu-Jin take most of their draconian features from the Chinese Long such as long tails and deer-like horns and in particular a lack of any means of flight, gliding or otherwise. It is also noteworthy in that the Ryu-Jin have expansive longevity, almost ten times that the length of the average human being.

And lastly we have the Wyvern.

It's been pretty light this week. Mostly due to the fact that the Doppelganger/Shapechanger was featured.
Wyvern (-4 Points)
Image
The Wyvern is one of numerous pseudo-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely considered a subspecies of the Dragonewt, the Wyvern is among the only such subspecies to be able to achieve true, self-sustained flight in which their arms and wings joined, similar to the Harpy. However, unlike most Harpy subspecies and the Dragonewt subspecies, the Wyvern is wild and highly aggressive. To counter this, the Wyvern are not particularly intelligent and easily deceived.

  • -1 - Weak-Willed
* Indicates that Character Ability/ies are of higher value than human norm, thus applicable for Scaled Advantage
And with that, a new Weakness:
Aggressive - You are just a tightly wound ball of primordial rage, in fact you can't really stop yourself as easily as other, more logical and level minded individuals. At Level 1, your rage is rather a simmer in that you can be talked out of your aggression, if only barely and with much the silver tongue. At Level 2, the only way to prevent or at the very least cancel out your rage is through some odd trigger, either an object, a phrase, or something as mundane as the voice of a certain individual that calms you down. At Level 3, the only way to calm you down is to knock you out cold. Simple as that.
Well, that'll be all this time. Let's look forward to new subspecies next week, shall we?

*Looks at Quick List* Yeah, you're right. No Damage would be better than just Inneffective. Must have thought that Paralyzing was +5 rather than +10 or something....

I asked this in the Vampire Cheerleaders thread, but how long do you think Paralyzing lasts?

Malancthon already answered that inquiry in the original thread, but I'll reproduce the answer here: It refers to the level of the Ability rather then the Level of the Perk. The additional level of said perk just means that it takes less than 1/2 HP damage delt for the complication to be inflicted upon said target.

Another week has past, and another episode has aired (don't know why they changed the air time....) means that it's time for more subspecies! This time featuring the subspecies of the Dryad!!

Okay, so they're not "technically" subspecies, but it's kinda related, right....?

First up is the Alraune.
Alraune (3 Points)
Image Here (WARNING: Potentially NSFW!!!)
The Alraune is one of numerous pseudo-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. A plant-like pseudo-humanoid species, the Alraune have flower-like qualities. Though timid as like other plant-like pseudo-humanoid species, the Alraune procreate via cross-pollination rather than self-pollination and thus require other species to produce the next generation and are noticeably friendly to other species, in particular humans. Noted for their coital and literal carnivore personalities, the Alraune also share a symbolic relationship with the Papillions in which the sweet smelling, aphrodisiac nectar the Alraune produce to lure prey and allow the Papillion to paralyze said prey with their scales and both will feed upon the now helpless victim. The humanoid portions of the Alraune correspond to the flowers of typical flora and appear as beautiful women to attract pollination partners.

And finally, we have the Mandragora. It's been kinda light since this week's end-card bestiary "introduced" the Dullahan so......
Mandragora (2 Points)
Image Here (WARNING: Potentially NSFW!!!)
The Mandragora is one of numerous pseudo-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Also known as Mandrakes, the Mandragora are a plant-like species with the characteristics and qualities of roots and other root-centric flora. The Mandragora are highly timid and cowardly compared to other plant-like pseudo-humanoid species, thought this is not due to xenophobia as to an extreme form of shyness. Despite common folk lore, the high pitch scream that they emit if they are pulled from the ground is not fatal, though it is an effective stunning attack that cause those nearby to lose consciousness and allow the frightened Mandragora to flee.

For those who didn't exactly pay extra for legal streaming of said episodes, like those who are signed up for Crunchyroll.

Oh! Now I remember you pointed something like that in the past... haha! I'm just so used to finally watch the anime I want some hours later that I tend to forget people still can't do certain things.

Anyways, the new ones are Kobold and Devils, and I'm curious how you'll make the "legal loli" Lesser Devils not creepy here. :D

Technically, they're "Mono-eyes" but I can understand the confusion. It happened to me too before the whole bestiary end-card thingy.
