I'm gonna try what Clay suggested and put each template and associated new Ability/Weakness/Perk/Flaw into each separate reply entry. For ease of referencing and such.

Next up is the Dragonewt.
Dragonewt (-3 Points)
Image
The Dragonewt is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Often mistaken for Lizardmen, the Dragonewt is notably different in their ability to fly and greater physical strength and often claim that they descend from actual dragons. As a reptilian-like humanoid species, Lizardmen possess various physical attributes of reptiles including scales that require periodic shedding of said skin and are poikilotherm or in laymen’s terms “cold-blooded” and thus are highly vulnerable to cold temperatures. This effectively places a maximum altitude to which the Dragonewt is able to glide, though they are unable to fly under their own power due to sub-par chest muscles and surface area of the wings for self-sustained flight.

And here's another template for the forum to critique, the Oni. The cost of the Oni template should be enough to allow some customization for such characters, even fall into the stereotypical Red Oni, Blue Oni of personality traits.
Oni (1 Points)
Image
The Oni is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely considered a Japanese subspecies of the larger Ogre, the Oni are noteworthy for a pair of small horns that are sensitive to any physical attacks. It is also known that there are two separate “races” of Oni largely denounced by the pigmentation of their epidermal skin: Red or Blue. Generally, and more often than not offensively stereotypical, the blue-skinned Oni are viewed as more intelligent and rational while the red-skinned Oni are considered largely considered more lax and free-spirited. Of course, like all populations, there are exemptions to such popular and contemporary views in various individuals.

And here's another Japanese Monster Species, the Kitskune.
Kitskune (5 Points)
Image
The Kitskune is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Though technically a shapeshifting species, their numerous "fox tails" the source of their famed abilities, their most radical of transformations are limited to only their own physical bodies; if the intended form is too radically different than what their normal physical dimensions, then any article of clothing that would restrict that would be ripped at the seams at best.

And the final monster template, along with the final Japanese monster species, the Yuki-Onna.
Yuki-Onna (2 Points)
Image
The Yuki-Onna is one of numerous humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange program sponsored by the UN. The Yuki-Onna are noteworthy for not only their extreme tolerance for subzero temperatures, but in their ability to manipulate ice and snow to such a degree that they are able to completely freeze a pool of hot water in a matter of moments. However, they are unable to withstand high thermal temperatures for long and require external hardware in order to operate such conditions for any extended period of time. Additionally, the Yuki-Onna are famed for their elegance and beauty, which is balanced by their rather stoic and near-emotionless personalities. It is also known that the Yuki-Onna is one of the few humanoid species that comprise of a single gender, in this case female.

And a new Ability, Weather Manipulation!
Weather Manipulation – You have the useful ability to change the micro-climate of your immediate area to whatever you desire; either rain or shine, or even the occasional thunderstorm. This can prove useful in situations where a distraction or cover is tactically more prudent than a frontal assault, such as a gust of wind or rain for the former or a fog bank for the latter. Add your Weather Manipulation dice (as well as other abilities that may apply) to any dice roll to see if you are able to change the weather to what you desire or require. Naturally, the more radically different the intended and the natural weather pattern is, the more difficult it would be to manipulate the micro-climate.

Complexity - DN
  • Wind (Light Breeze, Moderate Gale) - 2
  • Small Cloud (Fog, Mist) - 4
  • Large Cloud (Cirrostratus, Altocumulus) - 6
  • Small Storm (Rainstorm) - 8
  • Large Storm (Thunderstorm) - 10
  • Superstorm (Hurricane, Tornado) - 12

Not too sure if the examples and wording are correct, though it's a good enough foundation to build off from. Either way, I'm more than willing to hear corrections to this list.

So then, are my templates sound or do there need to be any corrections or suggestions to "plus it" as they say in Disney?

As for sniffycrab's comment, well so far a good chunk of these templates are derivatives of others so there's not much to do to make them unique from one another besides the addition/exclusion of certain abilities/weaknesses. Closest is the Devil and I'm on the fence on what to do with that particular template (largely due to the uncertainty if Psychic would be useful to replicate hypnosis). The others, like the Holstaurus, Nekomimi, Satyr, and Usagimimi are either derived from either the Kobold or Minotaur templates or just basically people with the Bizzare Appearance Weakness with potentially Heightened Senses.

To celebrate the streaming of the first episode of Monster Musume for everyone on Crunchyroll, let's introduce to the forum the Lamia subspecies

First up is the Echidna.
Echidna (5 Points)

The Echidna is one of numerous demi-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely a subspecies of the Lamia, the Echidna are largely more akin to the Lizardfolk appearance-wise due to the amount of scales that cover their upper torso. In addition to their claws, the Echidna have a venomous bite and are the only Lamia subspecies to have such a trait.

In a way, the Melusine are akin to the Dragonewts. Additionally, the Melusine are well adapted to an amphibian lifestyle in that they are able to operate in both the water and on land, though due to their Poikilotherm anatomy they are only able to thrive in warm waters or at least regions with near constant sunshine so that they may return to dry land and warm up after a swim.

And finally, the Gorgon.

Alright, the image said "Medusa", but those of us with some familiarity with Greek myth knows that Medusa is just a single individual, Gorgon's the actual name of the group of monsters Medusa's most often associated with.

However, the Gorgon have poor eyesight and their otherwise intimidating stare is largely their attempt to see an object better. The Gorgons also have snake-like tendrils for hair, though for the more fashion-conscious members, this limits their ability to style their hair.

Oh, before I forget, I've mulled around my customized "Many-Handed" Ability and I thought that I should change it up a bit so it isn't too overpowering and make the "Time Freeze" Ability more or less redundant. Basically, the final part of the summary is changed from this:
Additionally, the level of Many-Handed can be added to defense dice, any fine hand interactions, carrying awkwardly shaped objects, or any other dice check the GM deems acceptable.
To this:
Additionally, the level of Many-Handed can be added to any fine hand interactions, carrying awkwardly shaped objects, perform multiple mundane tasks at once when not under stressful situations, or any other dice check the GM deems acceptable.

For any character to perform multiple actions who is gifted with the Attribute, it is strongly advised that one must also have the Time Freeze Ability as well to simulate the ability to strike multiple opponents or to defend from them.
Not too sure if the ability to perform multiple actions against a single opponent would be prudent or not with the Many-Handed Ability.... Thoughts on the proposal?

And finally, before I leave, I know I'm not the only one wondering why Dabestutepe is acting like some kind of spyware bot. Anyone got an idea of that whole "refrigerator" thing if Google Translate is correct?

Dabestutape has been strangled out of existence like a Lamia tail...err...squeezes things out of existence?

My bad attempts at wit aside, it’s great that you continue to do write ups for this, especially now that the anime will introduce many people to Monster Musume.

As for Many-Handed, personally, I would make it add to appropriate actions and include the Time Freeze effect “offset the Multiple Actions penalty” text as is. in this case, having it add to Defense Rolls is probably too much, since you will already be getting the benefit of “free” extra attacks with a high enough Level, which will also improve your Defense Rolls when you do take multiple actions.

Thanks, wasn't sure what to do after I eventually do the Devil Character Template but with the whole Subspecies images at the end of the episodes, I figured that I could try out my interpretation as well. Who knows? It might help someone with a similar campaign or setting.

One reason why I had the notation of adding the ability level to Defense Rolls removed in my latest update. Figured that it would otherwise make Many-Handed too powerful and Time Freeze redundant when it comes to combat. In short, it's useful in everyday life but very limiting, if not useless, in a high stress combat situation.

Though having it attack multiple times upon a single foe, though potentially useful, pg108 basically said that it's not allowed. Pity, would have been interesting to see the Extraspecies version of Kenshiro's Hundred Crack Fist of the North Star. Probably be covered via the Overwhelming Perk anyway.

Well, a week has past and another episode has aired. Meaning that it's time for new subspecies, this time of the Harpy!

First up is the Chocobo. Yeah, yeah, I know that it's called a "land animal" but there's no way that I'm gonna accept that as an actual name for the subspecies with a straight face. Besides, "Chocobo" is a place filler until I or someone else would come up with a more fitting name.
Chocobo (-1 Points)

The Chocobo is one of numerous demi-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely a subspecies of the Harpy, the Chocobo is effectively a larger, flightless version that generally stand taller than the average human. Though unable to obtain self-sustained flight, like the Ostrage and the Emu, the Chocobo is able to run quickly over long distances without tiring and is armed with deadly claws for self-defense. Almost paradoxically, the Chocobo’s general personality is generally easy going despite the presence of their claws and intimidating size.

Yeah... it sounds bad, but not as bad as "land animal".
Poultry (-5 Points)

The Poultry is one of numerous demi-humanoid species that were publicly revealed three years ago with the adoption of the Extraspecies Exchange Program sponsored by the UN. Largely a subspecies of the Harpy, the Poultry is effectively a larger, flightless version and generally can stand as tall as the average human adult due to the fact that they do not need to be small and light for self-sufficient flight. However, they cannot run for or as fast as the Chocobo and are akin to domesticated chickens in that they lay eggs on a regular, daily basis. Additionally, the Poultry are noteworthy for their low courage and are more often enough would rather fly from danger rather than to confront them, largely due to their poor combat abilities.
