Why no PM system for the Forums?

Every other Forum I have been to has a private messages function. But this forum does not. Is there reason for that?

Some while back...it’s been a few years actually...the Wise Turtle forums were completely inundated with spam to the point of unusability. In my fight to stop it, a lot of features were turned off and inadvertently not turned back on. They should work now.
