Thanks for the review, Andrea! It's nice to have an international perspective, and I appreciate you taking the time. And thanks for the compliments, Michael! I saw Heart Quest had quite a collection of sample characters itself. Can't wait to give them a good once-over. ^_^ But yeah, I intentionally ...

Wise Turtle is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and we aren't travelling too far at the current time. But if there's a gig somewhere around here, it doesn't hurt to ask. ^_^

Although I don't have any promotional materials currently, I can design anything you'd like to use. Just give the dimensions, color or B&W, intent/purpose, etc. and I'll whip it up for you. Least I could do for such a generous gesture.

I've actually not seen CCS or read the CLAMP offshoot xxxHolic, but I'll try to comment on Sakura as much as I can. Probably the easiest way is to treat the cards as spells, and give them the Special Flaw "only can be cast on self" Alternatively, you could combine Transformation with Human...

These are some pretty good ideas! Although I'll avoid using the gunbunny term, the modern spy/adventurer/assassin genre does seem to have enough anime under its belt to perhaps warrant a book... cyperpunk and BGC are both covered by the mecha book, or will be rather. Flying rules may also be covered...

I doubt there will be a martial-arts specific supplement, per se. OVA already includes rules (specifically, Power Moves) that were largely inspired by both Ranma 1/2 and Street Fighter.

That said, should their be a ninja/samurai/etc. book, martial arts may get additional coverage.

What do you want to see next?

OVA is finally out, and that can only mean one thing...time to get started on something else! As it stands, both OVA Fantasy and OVA Mecha genre books are already in the works, with OVA Shoujo planned. But what would you REALLY like to see next? Mecha smashing action? sword-swinging, spell-slinging ...

Oh, forgot to comment about your "too-many dice" concerns, momo. The example on page 76 (PDF page 78) is an extreme example in order to show the mechanic at its most complex. 12 dice is actually nearly the maximum possible in the game. Few occassions will warrant more than +10 bonus The mo...

Long-time visitors to wiseturtle.com might remember a BMH supplement on the products page. However, the original creator decided against having the product "for pay." I was going to release it anyway as a free product, but hard drive troubles occured and interest waned. Eventually I remove...

Despite a long time searching, I could not find my old probability tables. Because the "combine like dice" has no easy corellation I can find in math, the only way I could do it was manually calculating all the probabilities one by one. An arduous and annoying task, and doesn't work above ...

I think I use rules a bit more loosely than you do. Either way, I have flipped through the book once before. I feel like a simple system like BESM doesn't warrant 200+ pages. Whether my feelings are "blatantly innacurate" are a matter of opinion, so I'll leave it there. But we are off topi...

RPGnow distributes in a zip form, so it's possible in theory. However, including the low-res version adds some 20 MB to the already larger than average 40 MB zip. I considered adding a text only version, but much of OVA's appeal is in the artwork. I was ill at ease with removing it. I don't think it...

You have to see the Difficulty Number chart to properly understand it. Let me restructure your chart with this in mind. 2 97% Easy 4 77% (-20%) Moderate 6 39% (-38%) Challenging 8 8.3% (-30%) Difficult 10 5.5% (-3%)) Very Difficult 12 2.7% (-3%) Extremely Difficult 15 0% (-3%) Nigh Impossible The dr...

Every system has it's ups and downsides, and while I'll agree with some of the other complaints about BESM, the 3 stat bit is one of the most solid parts of it as far as I'm concerned.
To each their own. I guess here we have to agree to disagree.

Glad you do! But here's a dilemma I've had. I've heard a complaint or two about the size of the file. It seems to cause old printers to cry. I wanted to provide a high quality document that looks really stellar when printed. It's a 300 dpi pdf with a few 600 dpi exceptions. What do you guys think? D...
