Re: Pokémon Status Conditions
I don't watch the show so I really can't comment on how they do things in it. If you are to ever watch the show for reference, my advice to you is this: 1) Choose one of the more recent series (especially Black and White) 2) Find one of the Gym Battles or Tournament battles You'll get to see some w...

You could say the same of Extra KnockbackClay wrote:Well, the main problem here is the Ability is more useful as the Damage Multiplier goes up.

Re: Making bad guys explode
Does 15 work for you or is 10 fine?
Sadly, there's not really a "bloodied" term here (especially since I tend not to distinguish HP/EP in baddies) so any wording changes would be inelegant.

Re: Making bad guys explode
As a random question, does this explosion affect anything in any perceivable way? Are the heroes injured or inconvenienced by the baddy going boom? Nope, not really. In D&D Essentials, there's an Assassin class feature where if he drops an enemy to below X hit points, the enemy is KO'd. I'm try...

Making bad guys explode
So I'm going to be running a game that has heavy influences in tokusatsu (think Power Rangers, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, Japanese Spider-Man, et al) and I'm trying to figure out a custom perk. This perk's design goal is to simulate the moment when the hero lands his finishing move and the monster f...

Re: Simplifying Health and Endurance
So if my margin of success is 4, but my DM is 2..... If you want accuracy and damage to be of equal import, then I think this is a bad design choice. Rounding up makes the multiplier too important, but rounding down makes it nearly irrelevant. The key is that more dice does not necessarily guarantee...

Re: A few OVA questions
IIRC, a lot of people screw up Power Move, so you're not the only one.
Now see, I subscribe to the "New Powers as the Plot Demands" style of game play, so I sidestep this problem all together.

Re: A few OVA questions
Oh! I think we've been handling Power Move incorrectly. I thought you had to buy Power Move for each separate move, but after looking at the example characters I noticed they took the Ability once and then had a bunch of moves. So, if I have Power Move +3, I could give a character 5 separate moves,...

Why do you assume "react" and "attack" are the same word?

Re: How does Superspeed work?
For each Level of Super Speed, add a +2 bonus to any actions that require you to travel . While in this state, others will have little time to react to your presence. Only if they are prepared for you can they try to stop or attack you, but even then it requires an opposed Speed check. (You include...
