Ran my first test game solo last week with the one member of my group who showed up. How do make sure I am threatening the player enough? It seemed like I was too afraid to challenge him, I struggle with being a soft gm. Could we get some example monsters and/or villains?

Just finished watching SAO today and that would totally make a super awesome campaign! It would definitely work for sword skills and magic to be endurance attacks. If your including alfheim I would give people a number of rounds they can fly for if/when they take the fly skill.

I think Karis' redesign is even better than shadowman's personally. Its Daisuke that really came out different from rocker to Bishi seems like quite the change.

Your players will ALWAYS find a way to surprise you. I like to have really loose story trees and locations, with more thought out events and confrontations. That way if they don't go to the warehouse I thought they would there is always my backup ideas like the park or mall garage.
