Man, that's hot. Uresia is my favorite anime RPG setting of all. It's really a masterpiece in terms of setting design, too. Even if you're aiming for a different genre or setting era, using Uresia and its design as an example can't do you wrong.

Will the PDF version be updated with the errata, so those of us who have the PDF can download the update from RPGNow?

Also, the game does have Drama Dice, which can be used in RP-intensive combat situations to represent instantaneous "power ups" for RP reasons, like an energy/adrenaline rush when someone/thing dear is threatened.

What exactly *is* the difference between being an item and being a part of the char, rules-wise? There really isn't one. So you don't need any special rules for it. If the character wears armor, give him the Armor ability. If for some reason he loses the armor, he loses the ability. Simple as that.

Dude, there are *so* gamers in Austin. I'm sure you can find a few if you look around. A lot of gaming shops have Want Ads services for gaming groups.

Looks good. Could probably have used a bit more description of how fun OVA is compared to just a rules summary. ;-) If you think OVA is "fat free," though, you need to look around a bit more. There are a number of fully playable and usable RPG systems around that make OVA look severely blo...

Look at Ichigo, from Bleach. Everytime he was backed into a corner, and a loved one was at risk, he gave himself a little pep-talk (recovery action), and came back almost as strong as before. Making an ability actually specialized to some criterion like that would be a better path to trod. You migh...

spam measures

Looks like spam is getting to be a problem on this forum. Some measures you might consider: - Require all users with less than X approved posts to be moderated. Can be a turn off to legitimate new players. - Block all posts that have more than three or four links. Most spam messages are link fests. ...

Hmm...that makes a bit too much sense. I see your point. My usual RPG is BESM, so I'm used to squeezing everything I can get out of my points.
Good to see my OVA overview/preview I posted on the BESM boards grabbed a potential convert or two. ;-)

What do this ability actually represent? Sure, one can easily see the rules advantage, but is there some type of actual character archetype that you feel requires these abilities to properly represent? When you start designing new abilities, the problem you need to think first is not, "Is this ...

Steampunk fantasy is (relatively) popular in America, too. Mixing magic and technology isn't unheard of. Especially not with the popularity of Final Fantasy here in America. You also get into the whacky "technology" like Eberron has, where everything is powered by bound elementals and spir...

Any webhost that lets you install CGI scripts can run a Wiki. If you have PHP and MySQL support, you can run MediaWiki (the biggest, baddest wiki ever).

You can find web hosts with the necesasry support for dirt cheap, and can reuse that host for regular forums and a website, too.

The link to Ironclaw doesn't work. Google found me this page: http://www.sanguine.com/Ironclaw/ Also, the sketches in the background have a little too much contrast with the background color, and it makes the text pretty hard to read. People with contrast issues might even suffer from severe eye str...

Is it VB6 or VB.net?

If the latter, it could be ported with some minor effort to OS X and UNIX/Linux using the http://www.go-mono.com Mono Framework.
