First, don’t worry about making it an attack. Bend the rules a little… Soothing Melody Heal (page 46) Add the Area perk for an extra 10 Endurance per 3 PCs. Adjust it as you like from there. Heroic Hymn Passion Willpower Add the Area perk to both for an extra 10 Endurance per 3 PCs. Add a Special Re...

Rapid Strikes House Rule
My friends and I have been playing OVA for awhile now, and we’ve come to the conclusion that the most complicated rule is the Rapid Strikes perk. OVA is not for everyone. There are some friends that I will not run this system for, because they just won’t get it. It’s not because the system is too complicated but rather it’s too abstract. It’s like 1st edition BESM. It’s a game for role-players not roll-players. If your players are more inclin...

Your example brings to mind many TV shows and movies that I’ve seen where the bad guys must be fended off or delayed while the computer uploads/downloads/erases whatever. My answer is that each round will take as long as the computer (or hacker) needs to complete each stage since it is the plot devi...

As long as the GM needs it to be. I know that doesn’t sound like an answer, but it is the most accurate. It is one of those obscure rules left up to the GM’s discretion. A round to two gunslingers drawing pistols on each other might be a second long, but to a bunch of race car drivers going around a...

I don't know how you originally arrived at the DNs? If you're only using the base 2D6 roll, the Ricochet System will generate an average result of 3 or 4 (6 or 8 if you roll doubles)? I'm not a mathematician, but I know someone did a statistics chart on this forum. I guess you have to use something ...
