OVA & Uresia
FYI: S. John Ross has posted a preliminary version of an OVA conversion to his upcoming Uresia 2nd edition. Uresia is a very anime-influenced fantasy world which was previsously published by Guardians of the Order for BESM. After the closing-down of GoO, S. John Ross purchased the Uresia rights and ...

Re: OVA Mecha: Playtesting?
Just out of curiosity: What's better (in you group's view) with OVA than with BESM & RA?jblittlefield wrote:My group is not interested in playing BESM or RandomAnime any longer, so we started an OVA campaign last month.

Re: Comments on the GM chapter
Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room for this additional information. I did calculate the TV for everyone, at least. ^_^; But through play, it becomes second nature what bonuses the different levels of Abilities and Weaknesses impart. Maybe look at it as incentive to learn the rules. ;) Oh, come...

Comments on the GM chapter
p. 100: Creating conflicts I like the idea of the TV to get a rough estimation of how to desgin encounters. However, a description of how to calculate the Threat Value is given, but it is never actually mentioned what to do with it (The same goes for the first table on p. 101). A short sentence like...

Removing weaknesses
While spending experience for raising Abilities is mentioned on p. 87, the chapter doesn't say anything about how to lower / remove a Weakness with Experience Points. (It mentions removing them later as a result of "interactions with the world"). So what would be an appropriate amount for ...

Where has Death gone?
As far as I understand the combat chapter, there is actually no way to die "by the rules". When Health reaches zero, damage is applied to Endurance and vice versa. If both reach zero, the character falls unconcious. There are basically three options I know from other rpgs: - The next hit (...
Knockback
One question concerning when to apply knockback: Is base or current Health used to calculate knockback?
Base Health: 40 + any mods you get from Abilities & Weaknesses
Current Health: Base Health reduced by the damage your character has already taken
