In our group we're all very lucky- we have 3 GMs who all "specialise" in something different. One runs "tactical RPGs" so he uses the combat rules to full extent, another makes complex plot situations with more "how do we get out of this?" type gaming, and the other (me...
I will say it now, I haven't got time to GM currently, I could probably play for an hour or two in the evening (I'm on GMT here in London). Maybe in a few months I could GM, but not now. Skype's very good as you can send links to people via a chat window (like MSN). This means that the GM can upload...
I would have it at a high level as zombie biting is really bad business, unless you make it that you only turn when you die. Just imagine a PC is bitten then dies at a later date after they've forgotten about it!
I've been playing with the idea of playing a game over Skype or something similar. Ok, I can't practise what I preach as I don't have the time to sort anything out (exams in August!!!), but I thought it would be a good idea. What do people think? And how would dice rolling work? If my players are lucky, I throw in one fight per session so I'm not to frightened of munkinism either. Most of it character building and interaction, and I love inter-character shocks. Instead of telling out loud that one character's boots are covered in blood, hand a note to one of the players say...
Ricochet, in its earliest stages, actually used d10s. I'm afraid there were never any DN charts created for that version, however. :/ Due to there being more numerals to work with, it is substantially less likely to achieve doubles. Only suggestion I can make offhand is that the 6 DN should be scal...
Yes, most anime have the "personal" growth, except ALL anime computer game RPGs, which have not only character growth, but MASSIVE ability growth. I truly believe its down to the GM to help enhance this. Maybe (s)he could make the PCs start inexperienced and ask the players what their pers...
